What is EFT and how does it work?

Plainly speaking EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) aka Tapping is a psychological version of acupuncture, but no needles are used! You simply tap the acupressure points and focus your thoughts on how you feel about a particular negative issue, this releases the negative emotion.

How do I do EFT?

All you have to do is think about what bothers you and tap certain acupressure points at the same time. It doesn't matter if you forget to tap a particular point or if you say something different. What matters is that you are completely focused and thinking about the emotion that bothers you and tap at the same time.

Don't get hung up on saying the right words or whether you are tapping the correct points. The key is combining your thoughts and feelings and tapping to release them.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind which occurs naturally several times throughout the day. Whenever your mind wanders, daydreams or is focused on something, such as reading a book, driving a familiar route, watching a film we are in a state of hypnosis.

Brain scans on people who are in hypnosis show that brain wave activity moves from a Beta state to an Alpha state, and sometimes a Theta state. The Alpha state is the optimal time to program the mind for success as it also heightens your imagination, visualization, memory, learning and concentration. This is a state of mind where you are fully aware yet focussed and relaxed, similar to the pattern of brain activity in meditation.

What is Matrix Reimprinting?

Matrix reimprinting is a way of going back to past traumatic events and releasing the negative energy we've been holding onto. Once you release this negative energy you are then able to find resolution enabelling you to move on feeling happier, lighter and with some insights never available to you before. It is a very gentle way to go back to traumatic events, big and small.

If I’m hypnotised do I give up control?

You are always the one in control and always have the power to resist (else we wouldn't need to interrogate criminals, we’d just hypnotise the truth out of them!) A hypnotherapist is a guide and helps you on a journey, but the change is decided and implemented by you. It isn't at all like they show in the films, it is very relaxing and pleasurable experience where you are fully in control.

Often the realization that you do have a choice & you can control your thoughts is very empowering (with or without the use of hypnotherapy).

Which is better EFT or hypnosis?

The combination is excellent! In a way EFT is the new hypnosis. Both therapies have their own merits but EFT & Matrix are better at processing specific thoughts and memories while hypnosis helps in a more general, over all reduction of stress way. It increases the minds capacity for success and heightens your imagination, visualization, memory, learning and concentration.

Is it safe?

EFT is 100% natural, like hypnosis EFT is safe, painless, and effective.

What is NLP?

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is essentially a model used to identify, analyse and copy successful people on a subconscious level. NLP gives you a way to copy their techniques & skills so you can create excellence yourself!

What is SFBT?

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a type of psychotherapy, as its name suggests, focuses on solutions and is goal-oriented, rather than problem focused as many other therapies are. Solution Focused Therapy acknowledges distress but focuses on success. Therapy consists of discussions and coaching in which the client is encouraged to find their own solutions by imagining a positive future and uncovering steps to achieve that preferred future via a gentle line of questioning.
